SRCA News and Notes

Dear SRCA Family,

This weekend marks our first ever Family Camp. Our worship on Sunday will be 10:00 - 11:15 at the Bishop Claggett Center, near Buckeystown, Maryland. Directions follow. It will take about an hour to get there from South Riding. There will be no worship at Little River this week. PLEASE MAKE THE BEAUTIFUL DRIVE TO CLAGGETT AND JOIN US FOR WORSHIP AND BURGERS AND DOGS ON THE GRILL. In that way everyone can have some part in the camp. It will be a relaxed time of fellowship and family under the shady trees at the camp. Festivities will conclude by 12:30 so all can be on their way ho me. 

It would be helpful to have rough count of who might come - just so Bruce and I don't end up with a freezer full of burgers and dogs (the cooked variety). You are welcome whether you respond or not, but by hitting reply you can help us with the food prep. 

DIRECTIONS: Travel Time, about an hour.

?         Find your way to Route 15 north. (I cross 50 on Loudon County Parkway, turn right on Evergreen Mills, follow for about 13 miles, turn right onto Battlefield Parkway, turn left on Route 7, and then bear right onto 15 north).

?         Follow Route 15 north, crossing the Potomac. Stay on 15 north at the round-about.

?         At traffic light turn right onto Moundsville Road. Follow for a few miles.

?         After crossing railroad tracks you will come into a little town Adamstown). Look for Adamstown Road on your left. It comes in between two buildings.

?         Turn left onto Adamstown Road. Follow several miles until it T?s into Route 85.

?         Turn left onto Route 85 north.

?         Follow 85 for about a mile. Look on the right for a little white farm house that sits close to the road. There is a large sign next to the farm house (but the writing is on the other side), and then Bishop Claggett Lane.

?      &nbs p;  Turn right into Bishop Claggett Lane.

?         If you get to Route 80 on your right, you have missed the lane. Turn around and head south on 85, now looking on the left and you will see the sign, which says Bishop Claggett Center. Turn Left into Bishop Claggett Lane.

?        Come straight back the lane. The lane will make a hard right curve.

?         After the curve pass garage and house on left, then turn left onto lane and you will see a very large brick building straight ahead. Park in the spaces along this drive. 

Walk toward the large brick building, and then turn to the left. The chapel is just to the left of the large brick building.
