SRCA NEWS AND NOTES

Dear Friends in Christ,

Welcome to SRCA! We are glad you stopped by our web site, and hope you will stop by on Sundya as well to join in worshipping our Lord.

This coming Sunday we celebrate the second Sunday of Easter. Our reading will include Acts 4:32-35Psalm 1331 John 1:1-2:2, and John 20:19-31
During these first few weeks after Easter we hear of several of Jesus' post resurrection appearances. This Sunday, we hear of "doubting" Thomas. We also hear of John's reason for writing the gospel account which bears his name.

On Sunday we welcome a guest musician who will lead us in worship. Ronny Settle is a friend of the Neumann family, and one of my "camp sons." Ronny has wonderful musical gifts and a heart for worship. Please give Ronny a warm SRCA welcome.

SRCA NEWS AND NOTES

Announcing our special Good Friday Tenebrae service this Friday  @ 7:00 pm in South Riding, at Little River Elementary School.

Tenebrae is from the Latin for "shadows" and the service is a very moving, very powerful depiction of the last days of Jesus' life, told using dramatic readings and responsive readings, traditional and contemporary music, and dramatic lighting. It's a great service -- you'll be glad you came!

Also, you are invited to come out a little earlier @5:30 (also at the school) for an opportunity to assist children in Ghana with reading materials and a reading camp. Come enjoy a simple Ghanaian meal and leave a donation for reading materials.

Hope to see you there!!
