SRCA NEWS AND NOTES

Dear Friends in Christ,

SUNDAY WORSHIP
This coming Sunday we celebrate the feast of Pentecost. Our readings will include Acts 2:1-21Psalm 104: 24-35, Romans 8:22-27, and John 15:26-27; 16:4b-15. Pentecost is one of the three great Christian feast days. Plan to join us for worship, and please wear red to symbolize those tongues of fire! We will have red ribbons for those who forget.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CELEBRATION
Our Sunday school awards and recognition service will be held on Sunday, June 3rd. Our fourth core value states that we cherish children as a part of our church. Let's be living into that value as we celebrate together what our children have accomplished.

WATS
"We Are The Sermon" is happening on Sunday, June 10th. Our sermon will be a hands on opportunity for families of all sizes to do something to make a difference in the life of someone else.

WOMEN'S TEA
Sunday, June 10th at 12:30 all the women of the parish are invited to Eggspectations for a women's tea/lunch. Please let Maryann Branch know if you plan to attend.

YOUTH GROUP FUN: HERSHEY PARK ON JUNE 15
Please talk with Meghan to get your name on the list for the Hershey Park trip. We will leave South Riding at 7:30am and return by 11:30 pm. The trip is open to all youth finishing grades 5-12. Each youth may bring one friend. We need a firm head count for tickets by Sunday, June 10th, along with payment of $35.00 per ticket. We will need a few drivers/chaperones to assist. Please talk with Meghan to volunteer.

FAMILY CAMP
The date is set for our best family camp yet. On June 22-24 I am praying many of you will join the fun at the Bishop Claggett Center, located about an hour from South Riding. Our Theme this year is
"Trials, Temptations, and Triumphs:
Warrior. Liar. Hero. Murderer. King." New adult small groups and activities for youth and children will be ready for participants to enjoy! Financial commitment forms ARE DUE NOW.
