SRCA NEWS AND NOTES

Dear Parish Family,

Thank you all so very much for praying for Bruce and I during our time in Alaska. We had 4 smooth flights, made our connections (barely, but we made them), and were blessed by the community of folks I was in ministry with and to. The teaching went very well, and the weather cooperated. My two "worldly wishes" were granted - we saw the aurora borealis (dimly and low on the horizon - but we saw it) and we saw moose in the wild! I am looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday! Our readings will include: 2 Kings 5:1-14 Psalm 301 Corinthians 9:24-27 , and  Mark 1:40-45 .

WE WILL BE CELEBRATING SCOUT SUNDAY THIS WEEK. ALL SCOUTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR THEIR SCOUT UNIFORMS TO CHURCH.

PRAYER REQUEST:
Gail's daughter R. is expecting. She has developed complications, and consequently there is the likelihood of induction and delivery. The baby is still quite small as this is very early. Please pray for wisdom for the medical staff, for healing for R., and for the baby's life and protection (especially during delivery). Please keep R.'s mom and dad in your prayers as they minister to her and her husband.

FIRST TUESDAY BIBLE STUDY
Our First Tuesday Bible Study will be held this coming week on Feb. 14. We'd LOVE to have more participation in the study, and pray you will have a wonderful. romantic dinner, and then join us for study time! we always have a wonderful time together.
